Yelp has added a new way to share your experiences. Meanwhile, more rumores of the Galaxy Alpha emerge and the HTC One M8 is getting a new update.
Yelp is always trying to make our business reviews more immersive real. This is why they have added video clip support to their official app. Users can now record 3-12 seconds, making it available online for other users to see.
This feature is now available for iOS, but Android users will be getting the same treatment soon.
Opinion: Why go past photos? While still images are great, they don’t capture certain factors very well. Ambiance and noise level, for example, can not be displayed in a photo.
The Samsung Galaxy Alpha rumors spread and the device is put out to be some sort of iPhone competitor. Armed with a 4.7-inch screen and a metal body, is this device ready for battle?
If the latest rumors are true, it certainly isn’t. It’s now said the device will feature a 720p display, which is unacceptable in today’s standards.
Opinion: Even if the device is to have a 4.7-inch display, that is large enough to notice the inferiority in a 720p screen. I say this device won’t make it unless it comes with a very nice price tag.
Sprint’s HTC One M8 has already seen the Android 4.4.3 update, but so far no other version had that privilege until today. Those who own an unlocked (or developer edition) HTC One M8 will start seeing their updates soon (if you haven’t yet), as it has started rolling out today.
The Android 4.4.3 update brings all the bug fixes included in the Android 4.4.4 update, all packaged in a 592 MB file. No major changes are to be expected, though.
Opinion: Having an unlocked device usually warrants timely updates, or at least as timely as possible. Though Sprint users already got it, other carriers will probably get it soon, as well.
