Sony’s upcoming flagships may be coming sooner than you think! Also leaked is the Meizu MX4. Meanwhile, Apple is suffering in the Chinese market.
The Sony Xperia Z2 is one hell of a smartphone, but some of you may already be waiting to see what Sony comes up with next. We haven’t heard much about these devices, but a Sony Xperia Z3 and Z3 Compact have just shown up in a Vodafone document from Germany.
It’s an internal promotion in which workers get more points for selling certain devices. The sheet doesn’t tell us much about the smartphones, but this promotion will be live from July to September, which means these devices could be launched very soon.
Opinion: Also important to note is that if these devices are to be released soon, this means Sony could be skipping on the Xperia Z2 Compact. These are all still rumors, though, so don’t hold your breath on anything.
Meizu is leaving hints of the MX4 all over the place, but no concrete evidence of the device’s existence has shown up until today. We have a leak of the Meizu MX4’s screen, which does show a wider screen ratio (probably 15:9).
Rumors say it will feature a stunning 2560x1536p resolution, putting it right next to the industry’s top dogs. Rumors say there may also be a 1080p version, though, and the screen may measure in at 5.4 inches.
Opinion: The Meizu MX4 could be a winner, depending on the power and price it ends up bringing to the market. Meizu is known for offering good devices at low prices, though. We certainly have high hopes for the Chinese manufacturer’s upcoming device.
Xiaomi has already beaten Apple in the Chinese market, but there is something Apple always touts, even if it gets outsold. iOS devices are known for luring users into using the devices more. This means users tend to spend more time using apps in Apple devices.
A new study from Flurry proves Apple has been beaten in this race, as well. It seems Xiaomi users in China spend more time using apps than Apple users! In the tests, iPhone was used as a baseline (100%), and Xiaomi managed to surpass the iPhone maker by 7% (107%).
Opinion: Xiaomi is really taking off. I wish we had better access to their devices in the USA. They are selling out in minutes wherever they go, proving their capable devices, good build quality and awesome prices will beat even the toughest competition.
