Design and hardware
The Xiaomi Mi Note is an outstanding device, featuring a 5.7-inch device with a 3000 mAh battery. But despite its large size and huge battery, it manages to stay super thin at 6.95 mm, as well as super light at 161 grams. There is also no need for a protruding camera, which is one of their main comparisons against the iPhone 6+.
The 2.5d screen also happens to be covered by Gorilla Glass 3, which offers unparalleled protection, backed by Corning’s world-recognized fortified glass. That is another thing you don’t need to worry about, though.
There is no problem if the glass breaks, as Xiaomi is offering accidental protection for only 199 Yuan! That is really a no-brainer. Especially considering how much larger the device is, which usually translates to a more fragile construction.
Regardless, it seems to be a very solid gadget for the users who are not the most careful with their smartphone. On top of that, the phone looks gorgeous!
Camera
Xiaomi has really gone all out when it comes to the imaging side of thing. They have done an outstanding job with the cameras, taking the best technology and putting it all in one device.
For starters, they have put a Sony 13 MP sensor in the rear of the device. Sony’s sensors are known industry-wide for their quality imaging components. Manufacturers across the world praise them, and Xiaomi did right to side by Sony.
As for the front-facing camera, they are also not disappointing. IT may not be a large sensor or have many megapixels, but their front-facing camera will perform very well in dark environments, as well as well-lit ones.
This device has the same Ultra Pixel camera the HTC One M8 sports. The only difference here is that HTC uses it as the main camera, while Sony is using it as a mere front-facing shooter.
Supreme Hifi audio
Xiaomi promises a rich audio experience, offering HiFi quality to the masses. Don’t have the necessary equipment for high definition audio? Don’t worry, they have you covered with a set of HiFi headphones that will cost only 499 Yuan.
