Today is a good day for Verizon users who want to get themselves a new smartphone. We have 3 new gadgets available for you! Let’s take a close look at them.
After long months of waiting, we finally got news yesterday that the Nexus 6 would launch in Verizon’s network. Big Red was to finally offer the super-sized Nexus today, but only online. They also mentioned the phone would be available in-store on March 19th, but what was left unmentioned is that even the online sales would start shipping later.
Those who purchase the Nexus 6 online can expect a March 18th shipping date, pretty much delaying the release of the phone and putting online and in-store launches in line. Once again, the Verizon Nexus 6 can be had for $249.99 on a 2-year contract or $649.99 off-contract.
Opinion: The Nexus 6 is still one hell of a phone, but is this too little, too late? I mean, with the Galaxy S6, HTC One M9 and LG G4 right around the corner, how many of you would prefer waiting a bit longer for a newer phone?
Good affordable handsets are hard to come by, but you can always count on Motorola to offer some enticing options. The 2nd generation Moto E has recently been launched, and Verizon has called dibs on it right away. You can now buy this affordable handset for the price of $99.99, to be used on Verizon’s prepaid plans.
What is enticing here is that this Moto E happens to come with LTE connectivity. Not to mention, Verizon is discounting the smartphone down to just $100, while the unlocked version starts at $150. Just in case you forgot, specs include a 4.5-inch 540x960p display, a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor, 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of internal storage and a 2390 mAh battery.
Opinion: I continue recommending Motorola’s Moto E and Moto G handsets to anyone looking for a good affordable smartphone. This is not the exception. For $100 bucks, you really can’t go wrong here. It’s certainly better than most other options at this price point.
The Motorola DROID Turbo is a pretty awesome device. I have personally reviewed it and think it’s great, but maybe you are not a fan of the color options. Today Verizon has introduced another color for those who want a “cooler” Motorola DROID Turbo.
They call it Sapphire Blue Ballistic Nylon. You guessed it – it’s pretty much a blue version of the Ballistic Nylon edition. Just like the black version, you can get this blue DROID Turbo for $199.99 on a 2-year contract or $599.99 off-contract. It’s available straight from Verizon’s website.
Opinion: I happen to prefer the Metallized Glass Fiber version of the Motorola DROID Turbo, but if you are a fan of Ballistic Nylon, I have to say that blue hue really fits the device.
