DROID users will be glad to see their latest update. Meanwhile, Amazon is getting new staff and partners. Stick around to learn more!
Owners of the latest DROID devices from Verizon (DROID Ultra, Mini and Maxx) will be glad to learn the Android 4.4.4 update change log has just been posted to Verizon’s official website. This means the update will start rolling out very soon, if it hasn’t already.
You can go ahead and start checking for your update now. It brings camera improvements, ISIS support and some Verizon bloatware. OF course, this is aside from the usual set of bug fixes and slight performance improvements.
Opinion: It’s nice to see Verizon being this quick on updates, even if they did manage to take a while. Updates seem to come in a much more timely fashion lately.
While he isn’t ready to announce it, Babak Parviz, one of the biggest minds within the Google Glass effort, is giving us huge hints of a move to Amazon. In a Google+ post he states he is “super excited” and posts a simple image of Amazon’s logo.
We can assume what’s going on here: Amazon has hired the man and is ready to take him under their wing. What could this mean for the future? Parviz specializes in optics and computer vision, so chances are he will be working on Firefly… or maybe a Glass competitor? We will see.
Opinion: Whatever Amazon has planned for Babak, we are sure he will be making amazing stuff. Let’s stay tuned and see what may come out of this!
No online retailer beats Amazon, and this is what OPPO is counting one when teaming up with Amazon India. Both companies have just announced their deal, which will include any device that has been released by OPPO in India. Of course, this includes the OPPO Find 7 and 7A.
Opinion: It’s odd for us to see such partnership. After all, most businesses can just sell their devices on Amazon without making a “partnership”, right?
