Transparent Smartphones are something from Sci-Fi Movies, but it looke like KDDI, Japan’s second largest mobile network operator is bringing the countries frist Firefox OS phone with the added bonus that it comes in a transparent case.
The Fx0 is not see through, battery technology hasn’t come far enough that we’d be able to have a clear version or that as well as the other components that make up a smart phone, all though the idea isn’t exactly 100% in the realm of Science Fiction.
The Fx0 comes with the the Firefox operating system and has a clear case that has been designed by Yoshioka Tokujin. The Fx0 runs on a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 Quad core processor with 1.5 GB of RAM. It has a 4.7-inch IPS HD display, an 8-megapixel back camera, and a 2.1-megapixel front camera. It is also the first Firefox phone to come with LTE and NFC.
The Fx0 bucks the trend that Firefox handsets and lower speced and very budget, if you imagine the device in a regular case, you can see that it carries all the design elements of LG’s series which comes as no surprise since that’s who has manufactured the device.
Now if you’re really curious about transparent smartphones, there is a Taiwanese company that is working on a completely transparent handset, Polytron uses active glass to move power around the handset removing the need for wires.
