Remember the first Netbook? It was 8.9 inches and couldn’t do very much, but everyone loved how small and cute it was. Nearly a decade later the 8.9 inch form factor has made a come back with tablets and Toshiba has jumped on the trend by coming out with the Satellite Click Mini an 8.9 inch device with a Bluetooth Keyboard.
The Satellite Click sports a FHD IPS display (1920 x 1080) and runs a Quad Core Intel Atom Bay Trail processor, the Z3735F with 2GB or RAM and 32GB of flash memory. The keyboard dock also comes with a battery, so running the the tablet together with its dock you should get 16 hours of use from the duo which tip the scales at 2.2 lbs and .8″ thick.
As most tablets do come with a camera this one comes with the 5MP variety and a 2MP on the front. Connectivity includes Wifi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro HDMI, Micro USb, 3.5mm headphone jack and a MicroSD card slot. In the keyboard dock you get a full size USB port along side a full size SD card reader.
Software wise we’re looking at Windows 8.1 with Bing and a 1-year subscription to Microsoft Office 365 Personal. It comes in white and gold, the gold being available later this year. The Click Mini will not be heading to the US but it will be selling in Europe for 299 Euros sometime in Q1.
