We have seen many tablet/laptop hybrids that transform into multiple form factors, but the Toshiba Dynabook Kira L93 is unlike any other device we have tested. Let’s check it out.
To start off, the Toshiba Dynabook Kira L93 feels and works amazingly. It comes with a 13.3-inch 1080p display and is based off the latest generation Intel Core i processors (Haswell). We don’t have the whole spec sheet, but we do know it has 8 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage, which is nothing to scoff at.
The construction of this device is simply amazing. You can tell right off the bat this laptop’s body was crafted with much care and thought. It is super thin and made of what seems to be magnesium alloy. Let us tell you, guys – this laptop looks real good.
There is a bit of a discrepancy, though. What is all that extra space above the keyboard? Turns out that area of the laptop comes off, along with the whole screen, making for a transformation we have never seen before.
The screen can then be turned around and connected backwards, allowing the screen to face the the same direction as the typer. It would be great for presentations or teachers. Give it a look, it is definitely an interesting concept.
