T-Mobile is ready to break the norms again with Un-carrier 8.0. OnePlus also has something to announce, and rumors of a super affordable Xiaomi phone emerge.
T-Mobile is getting ready to impress us once again. Their last Un-carrier announcement was quite an event, not to mention the one before that, when they announced music streaming was to be free. What could Magenta have in store for us this time around?
We have no idea what could be in store for the December 16th event, but we do know you can join the webcast on Yahoo! News at 7:30 AM Pacific. A link to the live video will be posted on newsroom.t-mobile.com.
Opinion: I may be going off on a tangent here, but doesn’t it seem a bit off that they are using Yahoo! News as the official host? Just a thought.
T-Mobile is not the only one bearing good news this week, OnePlus will be shaking the industry with an event. Or so states a new press invite, which tells journalists to save the date for December 17th.
What could this be all about? We are not sure yet, but we can take a look back and realize December 17th would be the OnePlus One’s first birthday. Some have come to assume this could be about a new ROM for the OnePlus One. Maybe the OnePlus Two is early? We don’t know, but we will find out soon.
Opinion: Whatever this is about, I am ready to take notes and bring you all the news. Stay tuned to Mobile Geeks come December 17th!
Xiaomi is known for its affordable phones, which also happen to be great deals for their price. This reputation is what handed them their success, and it’s the reason why people rush to get their devices, which sell out in a matter of seconds.
If the latest rumors are true, Xiaomi is setting itself up for yet another victory. This time they are said to be planning a sub-500 Yuan smartphone, which would translate to about $81 USD.
Opinion: This information comes from “Taiwan-based supply chain makers”, so we can definitely give it some trust. Now, let’s play a game. Who can guess in how many seconds this thing will sell out? I say 14.
