The new Nokia Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 are the first smartphones in the world to use a new advanced multi-touch experience based on the Synaptics ClearPad capacitive touchscreen sensing technology. The ClearPad Series 3 technology automatically detects the presence of skin, gloved fingers, or fingernails, giving users a seamless multi-touch experience regardless of input methods. ClearPad Series 3 offers up to 10 finger full-time tracking and fast refresh rates which is great because the Lumia 920 has a PureMotion HD+ which offers better than HD resolution and overdrive technology for keeping moving images pixel-perfect.
Winter is coming so it looks like this could be one of the devices big selling features, depending on how you look at it could save you money on picking up those gloves that work on touchscreens. What we are very impressed with is that the display is dead gorgeous so that this multi-touch layer didn’t dampen the vivid colors is just as impressive as not getting frost bite.
