Today we bring you a direct comparison video of two Android smartphones on the market that are actually smaller versions of today’s flagship devices; the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact and the HTC One mini 2. The Z3 Compact bills itself as a ‘no-compromises’ flagship device in mini form, but the One mini 2 is a great phone in its own right and can be had for around $80 less. Mobile Geeks bring you an in depth side by side comparison that will hopefully let any potential buyers feel much more clued up.

Sub Five Inch Head to Head: Sony vs HTC
The HTC One mini 2 certainly impressed us a few months ago when we had it in for review. It managed almost flawlessly to capture the incredibly attractive build of the HTC One M8, in a smaller form that certainly attracted many people who are happier at 4.5 inches than 5 inches. The 720p Super LCD2 display looks good, the camera is a solid 13MP & 5MP combo and the device also sported the same Beatsaudio that had put HTC on a tier of their own in terms of built-in audio. It can be had now for a reasonable $450 or less if you shop around.
The Sony Xperia Z3 Compact has to be regarded as the phone to beat right now in the sub 5 inch smartphone arena. It really has just about everything you would want in a phone of this size, sporting almost all the goodies that we saw on the flagship 5.2 inch Xperia Z3. This all includes one of the brightest LCD screens you will ever encounter, one of the best cameras you will ever use on a smartphone and the longest battery life I have personally had the pleasure of. It really does impress and embody Sony’s will to not cut corners. Standing next to each other, the Xperia Z3, Xepria Z3 Compact look like a ‘His and Hers’ product offering. The same product, just with one that is a touch smaller with a 4.6 inch screen.
