I must say Sony has always caught my attention with its “compact” devices. While most manufacturers’ “mini” smartphones are nothing but mid-end versions of their parent smartphones, Sony makes small phones with high-end specs. They cater to those who want good specs without a humongous, uncomfortable size.
Sony has outdone itself with the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact, a device with nearly the same performance and specs as the Xperia Z3. Granted, some slight changes have been incorporated, but they aren’t exactly bad.
Sony Xperia Z3 Compact specs
- 4.6-inch 720p display
- 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor
- 2 GB of RAM
- 16 GB of internal storage
- 20.7 MP rear-facing camera
- 2.2 MP front-facing camera
- 2600 mAh battery
The display does have a 720p definition, but that looks good in a 4.6-inch device. Not to mention, a lower-resolution display saves battery, which should compensate for the slightly lower 2600 mAh battery.
The device works great and looks great. It doesn’t ask much of the high-end smartphones and should come with a very enticing price point.
