Without doubt one of the most exciting Smartphones unveiled at MWC last week was Sony’s Xperia Z2. The Xperia Z2 is the new flagship Smartphone device from Sony, the follow up to last year’s popular Xperia Z1. Sascha managed to get his geeky hands on the device last week at Mobile World Congress and was totally impressed, and I think it’s fair to say that Nicole also took an immediate shine to it, not least of all because of its incredible 4K-capable camera. Check out this awesome video from Nicole which details the top ten features of the Sony Xperia Z2.
Sony Xperia Z2: Specifications
• 5.2” IPS LCD 1080 x 1920
• Qualcomm Snapdragon 801
• 3GB RAM
• 16GB Internal Storage
• 20.7MP Rear Camera with 4K support (5248 x 3936)
• 2.2MP Front Camera
• 146.8mm x 73.2mm x 8.2mm
• 163 grams
• 3,200mAh
• IP58 Certified
• Android 4.4 (KitKat)
The Xperia Z2 is largely regarded as the one device that could challenge the Samsung Galaxy S5 for the right to be the current Smartphone top dog. It follows on the Xperia Z which was launched just over a year ago at CES, and the Xperia Z1 which was revealed last September at IFA in Berlin. Sony reckons the device will available for pre-order in the UK in April (£550 without contract). No clear indication yet regarding US availability.
