Battery life is one of the most important factors to consider when trying to find the right smartphone. No one likes being tethered to an outlet all day, right? There’s a sea of phones out there, so it’s hard to group the phones that will stay alive longer.
We are here to make everything easier and give you a list of phones that offer you the very best battery life in the market. Some of these can stay alive for up to a couple days, so you will want to keep reading!
Huawei Ascend Mate2
The Huawei Ascend Mate2 may not be getting KitKat (so don’t even dream of Lollipop), but it is a great device to be had for the $300 off-contract price. One of its best features is its battery life.
Also carrying a whopping 3,900 mAh battery, the Ascend Mate2 promises a mother bleeping 25 hours of battery life. Claims which have definitely proven to be true. This device’s battery is so powerful it can literally charge other devices.
Its other specs are nothing to write home about, but they are pretty fair for the price. It packs a 6.1-inch 720p display, a Snapdragon 200 processor, 2 GB of RAM, and 16 GB of internal storage. You can get it straight from Amazon for just $299.99!
Nokia Lumia 1520
If what you really want is a Windows Phone smartphone with a battery that can keep you going for long, you need to take a look at the Nokia Lumia 1520. This device comes with a massive body and a 6-inch device, but it also carries a capable 3,400 mAh battery.
This battery, paired with Windows Phone, can keep your phone running for 2 days on light usage. You will also have no trouble going through a full day, even with heavy usage. The phone also comes with great performance and a camera that is far superior than most average camera phones.
The Nokia Lumia 1520 offers a great deal at under $500 off-contract and unlocked. You can also get it for very cheap with a contract, though. Both options are displayed right below.
Samsung Galaxy Note 4
Galaxy Note devices have had a long history of astounding battery life. While the Note 4 is not as good as its predecessors, it does offer a very good battery life. Its 3,220 mAh battery can keep you going for about 14 hours or so.
This is not as amazing as some of the devices in this list, but do keep in mind this phone has insane specs and a QHD 2560x1440p display. We all know the LG G3 wasn’t able to handle that without being affected in the battery department.
You can now get the Galaxy Note 4 for about $300 on a contract or $700 on a 2-year contract. It’s also available unlocked, but the price usually goes above $800. See the options below.
Motorola DROID Turbo
The Motorola DROID Turbo is quite possibly your best bet when it comes to new devices that have an amazing battery life. This bad boy carries a super-sized 3,900 mAh battery, while most devices with 3,000 mAh batteries claim to be superior.
It’s also a very well-specced phone, packing a 5.2-inch 2560x1440p display, a 2.7 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, 3 GB of RAM and a very capable 21MP/2MP set of cameras.
There is one downside, though – the phone is only available in the USA, and only from Verizon. It launches on October 30th and is priced at $599.99 off-contract or $199.99 on a 2-year contract.
Many believe Apple went nuts with the iPhone 6+, which is considered a beast with a 5.5-inch display. It sure is larger than any other iPhone we have ever seen, and we never thought Apple would go so large, but this also brings some benefits.
While the phone continues to be very thin, Apple managed to fit a 2,915 mAh battery in that (flexible) aluminum body.
Reports state the device can stay alive for an average of about 18-20 hours on regular usage, which is quite outstanding for a device that large. The iPhone 6+ does start at $299.99 on a 2 year contract or $749.99 off-contract. Not the cheapest, but the best option for Apple enthusiasts who want the best battery life they can get.
