Sitting in the throne can get quite lonely and boring. Human beings have been part-taking in all forms of toilet entertainment. Reading is definitely among the most usual activities, whether it be a newspaper, magazine or a book. Smartphones have come to change it all, though, deeming printed media obsolete.
The infographic is based on multiple sources and surveys, and it studies what we read in the toilet. Turns out about 75% of Americans have used their smartphones on the toilet, and 24% say they would not go to the bathroom without their mobile devices!
Apparently most people do texting and, oddly enough, answering calls while sitting on the throne. A large percentage of us do email, web surfing, app usage and more. I found the infographic very interesting and thought you guys would love it too. Using the phone in the restroom is one of those guilty pleasures many identify with but very few will accept.
Also, apparently there are some negative health effects to reading in the toilet. You may want to take a look at the bottom of the graphic for more details.
