Seth Rogen and James Franco are not taking the threat to Sony lightly, Pebble gets a significant update and Google Drive makes it super easy to find files.

Seth Rogen and James Franco cancel press appearances upon threats

This morning’s alleged threat from the hackers who attacked Sony is not being taken lightly. Whether it’s real or not, it’s being seen as a terrorist threat, and necessary precautions seem to be in the works.

For starters, The Interview stars James Franco and Seth Rogen have canceled their press appearances for the movie. And it makes sense, the email went as far as referencing 9/11, a very delicate subject for any American.

Opinion: Whether GOP (if it’s them who made the threat) means this or not, this type of press will be no good for the movie. After all, people will likely not want to go watch it in theaters.

Pebble introduces actionable notifications

Using a Pebble so far has been pretty basic in that you can’t do very much. You can look at notifications and dismiss them, but that’s about it. This changes today, as Pebble updates its software to version 2.3. This is in beta, though, so the update is not reaching everyone just yet.

The new Pebble update is easy to explain – it integrates Android Wear functionality to offer notification actions (and they even added more functionality). If Android Wear can do it, so can Pebble. You can respond to messages, complete certain tasks and more.

Opinion: I am pretty stoked about this one and will be putting it through my tests later today. Have you guys been enjoying this new beta update?

You will soon be able to search for Google Drive files by using the “Ok, Google” command

Pebble is not the only one bringing us awesome features, Google Drive has received an improvement we know many of you will love. This would be the ability to search for any Google Drive file by using the Google Now or Google Search app.

This new features works with both iOS and Android, and the update will be rolling out over the next week.

Opinion: It’s impressive to see what the Search Giant is doing with Google Now. This service is getting integrated very well, and this is only the beginning. Google has also integrated Google Now with the Nest thermostat, and more compatibility is on the way.
