Samsung’s Galaxy line up of products is among the most successful Android devices on the market. It seems that the branding is not being extended to the Windows line up of tablets, according to Sam Mobile on Twitter Samsung is switching to the ATIV brand. The companies already makes Windows Phone products and it’s no secret they are going to be supporting Microsoft’s Windows 8.
The ATIV Tab name will be seen on tablets running on Windows 8 and ATIV S will appear on the flagship high-end Windows Phone 8 smartphone.
We won’t have long to wait until this is all made official, Samsung’s first press event is tomorrow where we know we’re going to learn about the Galaxy Note II. Of course, the names have not been confirmed by Samsung, but everything should hopefully reveal itself tomorrow at their Unpacked event.
On a side note has anyone else noticed that ATIV is backwards for Vita, think there is some kind of hidden meaning for Sony, or is it just a happy coincidence?
