Barnes & Noble has stopped manufacturing tablets, but that doesn’t mean no more Nook tablets aren’t coming. Meanwhile, Sony and Meizu are playing around with new designs.
Barnes & Noble suffered in the tablet/reader manufacturing game, but that is not stopping them from producing more devices. They have partnered with Samsung to release the Galaxy Tab 4 Nook. It looks and works much like the original Galaxy Tab 4.
The device is to become available today for $179. This will get you over $200 in free Nook content. Specs include a 7-inch 1280x800p display, a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor and Android 4.4 KitKat.
Opinion: Is this really a better business model? This would be nothing but a set of apps pre-installed on an existing device. Barnes & Noble will continue to be an unknown company to the consumer’s eyes.
A new and interesting camera has been showing up among Chinese “influencers and celebrities”. At first sight it may look like a perfume, but in seconds you would notice people are holding it like a camera. That’s because it is!
The device breaks into new territory with a unique design and elegance. Details are still unknown, but people believe this could be a camera from Sony. A recent report describes the KW1 camera very similarly to this perfume bottle… thing.
Opinion: Could this be the selfie beast people have been looking for? We suppose it’s no longer enough to carry a phone. We now need a more advanced and good-looking device for our selfies!
Aluminum and steel are a thing of the past, at least according to Chinese manufacturer Meizu. The company is leading the way into a new future where “aircraft-grade magnesium alloy” keeps your phone strong and stylish.
Opinion: Sometimes materials matter little, the key is to put them together the right way. Meizu makes awesome devices, so we can expect the MX4 to look and feel gorgeous.
