The HTC One M9 is set to launch tonight at midnight, but as awesome as it is, it just may not be your cup of tea. Some of you would rather go for the Samsung Galaxy S6 or S6 Edge. We also have good news for you; Samsung has officially announced availability for its upcoming flagship smartphones.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge will be available for purchase come April 10th. Pre-orders start tomorrow, March 27th, except for Verizon subscribers, who will have to wait until April 1st to put their name on one of these devices.
AT&T and T-Mobile have announced pricing for the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge. AT&T will be selling these for about $685.20 and $815.10, respectively. Of course, you can also get them for $22.84 or $27.17 a month on AT&T’s Next plans.
Those of you who prefer T-Mobile can get these phones for $679.92 or $779.76, depending on the version you opt for. This would come out to monthly payments of $28.33 or $32.94. This is slightly cheaper than AT&T’s offer, but remember the deal gets even sweeter when you take that year of free Netflix service into account.
Verizon has yet to announce pricing, but Sprint is not keeping the veils on these numbers. Sprint’s options are a bit more confusing, though. Let’s dig in: you can get the 32 GB Samsung Galaxy S6 on a lease (with unlimited talk, text and web) for $80 a month. You can then pay an extra $5 a month for the 64 GB version, or $10 a month for the 128 GB version.
That means it would be $85 or $90 for more internal storage. Those who want the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge can add about $5 more to each of these options. Remember you won’t be owning the phone, though. You are simply renting it, but considering the plan is pretty cheap, this may not be a bad deal.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge are awesome devices.
