Today we have a plethora of devices to show you. Samsung’s new phone has just been announced, while Lenovo and ZTE are bringing us leaks and rumors.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 is a powerful phone, but it may be a bit overkill for many users. Some people simply don’t need that much power or screen real estate. This is why Samsung didn’t wait long to announce the Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini, a smartphone that cuts back on screen size and power.
Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini specs
- 4.5-inch 720p Super AMOLED display
- Android 4.4 KitKat
- 1.4 GHz quad-core processor
- 1.5 GB of RAM
- 16 GB of internal storage
- 8 MP / 2.1 MP cameras
- 2100 mAh battery
Despite the lower specs, the Galaxy S5 Mini manages to keep all the cool features its bigger brother introduced. Users will be able to take advantage of the heart rate monitor, fingerprint reader and water resistance, along with all the software features the Galaxy S5 has to offer.
Pricing is still up in the air, but we know the Galaxy S5 Mini will be released in Russia first. It will start rolling out this month, with a global release soon to follow.
Opinion: This device’s specs may not be top notch, but they will definitely get the job done. You can expect a more affordable price, which will be great for those simply looking to get those health features and ruggedness the Galaxy S5 is famous for.
The Lenovo K920 is to be one monster of a smartphone. Its 2560x1440p display will be stunning, measuring in at 6 inches. It also sports a Snapdragon 801 processor, 3 GB of RAM, Android 4.4, 32 GB of ROM and 16MP/5MP cameras.
This beauty should be coming to market relatively soon, now that it has passed Chinese network certification. With all paperwork in order, we can only assume the Lenovo K920 will make it here sooner rather than later.
Opinion: Lenovo is going all out with the K920, a device that will definitely compete with the best of the best. Not to mention, we can expect a slightly lower price from Lenovo. Will we ever see it outside of China, though?
If what you seek is something a bit different, the high-end ZTE Nubia 7 is slated to be a very powerful smartphone. Rumors say it may even carry a Snapdragon 805 processor, along with 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of ROM and a 5.5-inch 1080p screen.
We know a lot about the upcoming device, but so far we haven’t taken a good look at it. Today we finally bring you some decent images of the ZTE Nubia Z7!
Opinion: As you may have noticed, the device does look very similar to the OnePlus One. ZTE’s device should be better, though, as it sports a metallic chassis.
