During MWC last week , we were fortunate enough to get some hands-on with the latest flagship Smartphone from Sansung, the Galaxy S5. As well as Sascha’s first introduction video and the benchmark video we posted a few days ago, we also had the chance to get down to some decent mobile gaming. Check out this video of us using the Samsung Galaxy S5 to play Asphalt 8, Airborne, Dead Trigger 2 and Subway Surfer.
As you’d expect from a flagship Samsung device, the overall performance is pretty decent. The Snapdragon 801 from Qualcomm packs an Adreno 330 GPU which is clocked slightly higher than previous gen Snapdragon 800 with a maximum GPU clock of up to 578MHz.
Some commentators have been a touch unimpressed with the Galaxy S5 specs sheet. The rumor mill had the Galaxy S5 breaking past Full HD 1080p screen resolutions to reach 1440p and beyond, but from what we can fathom from time with the device at Mobile World Congress, the galaxy S5 looks fantastic as a mobile gaming device in its current full HD form.
