The Samsung Galaxy S4 was launched today in Radio City Music Hall. Samsung’s new flagship smartphone is built to impress with its 4.99 inch display and amazing octa-core processor. It drew quite the crowd, even for New York City.
The S4 features a 4.99 inch Super AMOLED Full HD display with a 441 ppi, 2 GB RAM, and 16/32/64 GB memory. It also has a Micro SD card slot which can store up to 64 GB, a 13 MP back camera and a 2 MP front facing camera, 2600 mAh removable battery and micro USB. The S4 supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0.
Infrared sensor and Temperature and Humidity sensors included. It’s even glove friendly, so your fingers don’t have to freeze each time you text in the winter.The phone itself is slimmer and lighter and come sin two colors: Black Mist and White Fog. With Samsung Smartswitch you can easily transfer all your info from your current smartphone to your S4. Here are some of the many new features:
The Camera
The Dual Camera feature allows the person filming to be in the video as well in picture form. The Sound and Shot option allows recorded sound to be played while viewing the photograph. Drama Shot function lets you see each stage of movement so that you can choose the best picture. You can also use the eraser tool to erase photo bombers in the background.
S-Translator
The S-Translator type or speak your language into your phone and Galaxy will translate it into the language of your choice and vice versa. It can do 9 languages, text to speech and speech to text. It can translate written words and useful words are saved in the memory for when you’re offline.
Group Play
With Group Play you can play the same music on multiple S4 smartphones, ensuring that the volume os pumped up loud enough without additional speakers. It even works without an internet connection. It also lets you share photos.
Air Gesture
A touchless interface? What?! Witj Air Gesture you don’t have to touch the screen, you only have to gesture. Smart scroll and smart pause sense your eye movements and will pause and resume depending on your engagement with your phone’s screen.
Samsung really pulled out all the stops with the Galaxy S4. The new flagship smartphone will be available in the end of April with 4G LTE in 155 countries.
