Samsung has issued fresh press invites for an event it plans to hold on the eve of the IFA Consumer Electronics how at Berlin, Germany. The event is scheduled for September 4 and at this point, they have not made it clear what products they would be unveiling there.
However, there are rumors flying around about the fact that a major highlight at the launch event would be the unveiling of Samsung’s next generation Phablet – the Galaxy Note 3. It is important to note that it was during the IFA that previous versions of the Galaxy Note were announced back in 2011 and 2012. Also giving more credence to the rumor is Samsung’s own invite which reads; “Note the Date”. The event is being called “Samsung Unpacked 2013 Episode 2.” As you might have guessed already, the Episode 1 was obviously the launch of the Galaxy S4 earlier this year.
As for what to expect from Samsung this time, there are rumors flying around about the possibility of the company increasing the display size on the Note 3 to be increased to 5.7 inches. The original Galaxy Note came with a 5 inch display which they followed up with the Note 2 with a 5.5 inch display. To match its opponents Samsung would also obviously bump the display resolution to 1920*1080 pixels.
Now, it would be interesting to see if Samsung comes up with more than one versions of the Galaxy Note – especially considering the fact that we have devices that have displays measuring 6 inches or more!
