Samsung once again expands our idea of what a smartphone can be. We saw the Samsung Galaxy Camera at IFA which took the term ‘camera phone’ to a whole new level and now Samsung has created the Galaxy Music for audiophiles.
The Galaxy Music has a 3 inch screen with a low resolution of 240 x 320 pixels and is running Android Ice Cream Sandwich. Since the focus is on the music, the smartphone part is clearly downplayed, but if you’re interested in this phone, you probably care more about the micro SD card slot and the powerful 1300mAH battery.
The gadget has dual front speakers, Sound Alive and SRS modes making it practically a mini stereo. The Galaxy Music also offers compatibility with FLAC, OGG and many more types of files so music sharing should be pretty easy.
Perhaps the coolest part of all this is the low price which is expected to be below $200. If your real concern isn’t that you have the best smartphone, but rather that you have the best music experience and have the added benefit of being able to call your band mates to rehearsal, the Galaxy Music might be a good way to go.
