Android is an awesome operating system. It has an immense list of apps available, and it has become one of the most welcoming platforms for mobile users. I know people who have no idea how to use a computer, but know how to use Android to perfection. But what if your PC could be based on the Android OS we all know so well and love so much?
All attempts to use Android as a desktop platform have been a failure. At least all the ones we have seen, but that was until we came across Remix OS. This is what Android on a PC should look like, guys. The mobile OS has been completely modified to offer the advantages of a PC, but keeping the familiarity and advantages of Android.
As you can see in the video below, Remix OS allows for working with multiple windows at a time. It’s probably the best multi-tasking experience we have ever seen on an Android device. Performance seems relatively good, too, and there seem to be no real compromises.
And remember, Android happens to be a free operating system. This means devices will ultimately be a bit cheaper, too.
I happen to love the idea. As the Remix OS representative told us, Android is a very good OS that we are very familiar with, and the list of apps is pretty much infinite. The only issue I could find is that many apps are not really optimized for a PC environment, so things could look a bit wonky at times.
It’s great msot of the time, though. See it for yourself!
