We can expect Android TV to be all the hype this year, so manufacturers are starting to bring their own twist to the platform. The latest is Razer, which has introduced the Razer Forge TV here at CES 2015. We took a good look at it at the show floor, so let’s tell you all about it.
Of course, Razer is all about gaming. They are known for offering some of the best gaming products around, and this Android TV will likely become a favorite among gamers. But a company like Razer has to back its word up with powerful specs, and this little guy is definitely not lagging behind on that department.
The Razer Forge TV comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, paired with the Adreno 420 GPU. It also comes with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. This should keep your Android games running very smoothly, as well as your PC games.
That’s right! You will be able to play PC games with this little Android TV box, but don’t get too excited just yet. The feature is coming during Q2 and it can only be done by streaming Steam games from your computer, through your network.
The best part? This mini gaming console is super accessible, unlike most of Razer’s other products, which are known to be pricey. The console costs only $99.99!
Of course, that would be only for the Razer Forge TV. Accessories are sold separately. These include the Serval controller ($79.99) and the Turret lapboard ($129.99). They will also offer a bundle that includes the device and one controller for just $149.99.
