PulseOn may have not reached its Kickstarter goal, but that is not stopping the company from trying hard to get this device to market. After all, it did raise over $84 thousand, so there is definitely an audience for an advanced heart-rate monitor.
We went hands-on with the device at CES 2015 and must say it’s a pretty neat gadget. Let’s start by telling you this is not the device you want if you want cool features like notifications, social networking and the like.
This watch is made for those who really care about their workout performance. Its heart-rate monitoring technology is inferior to none, as it uses multiple light sensors to get accurate readings every single time.
It uses different sensors and wavelengths to measure your blood flow from different skin depths. It then gives you helpful insight in order to optimize your performance. Are you going to hard? Are you going to slow? The app will let you know.
We just wanted to give you a quick look, so take a look at the video below to see if this is the wearable for you. Are you buying one?
