Project Tango is getting closer to its launch. Meanwhile, Microsoft launches a new mobile video editor and Cricket announces some crazy deals.
Google’s innovative Project Tango tablet has been the talk of the industry for quite some time. The device can literally be aware of its surroundings by using cameras and other sensors. This will make for amazing features, but the device needs to reach developer hands first.
Project Tango was said to be available for $1024 “later this year” according to Google at their IO conference. It seems that time is coming, as Project Tango ahs made its way to the Google Play Store. You can’t buy it just yet, but now that it’s in the Play Store it’s only a matter of waiting a bit more.
Opinion: This tablet won’t exactly be for everyone. At least not yet, but we can see how devices gaining senses can bring huge features for the future of mobile. Right now devices can interact with devices. In the future, they will be able to interact with things.
Microsoft’s new Lumia app looks quite promising, at least for consumers and enthusiasts who want to create fun clips. Movie Creator Beta does just that, allowing users to put together clips, photos, text and audio, turning them into fun, shareable videos.
The app contains 40 themes that can give your movies filters, much like you would find in programs like Instagram. The idea was to create both a robust app, while keeping it simple and fun to use. What are you waiting for? Go get it from the Windows Phone app store and check it out.
Opinion: Lumia devices have amazing cameras, which means good editing software is a must. It’s nice to see Microsoft focusing on this. How do you like Movie Creator Beta?
