The LG G Watch goes up for pre-order just before Google IO, Meizu believes we will love their ROM and we finally get a look at the DOOGEE DG650S’ specs.
The LG G Watch is said to be launched and maybe even given away at Google IO, in just minutes, but the guys at Mobile Fun gave us a taste of the Android Wear device a bit earlier. They put the smartwatch up for pre-order for $254.99 with an estimated July 7th release date.
It seems the online retailer has taken down the page since then, but we get an idea of the price and release date.
Opinion: While $255 is not a bad price, I believe it might be lower. After all, these retailers sometimes raise the price a bit. Would a $250 price point hit the sweet spot to you, though?
While most users look for minimalistic ROMs, Meizu believes they can catch your attention with their very own UI. In fact, the manufacturer is working on releasing its ROM for multiple popular devices. You will soon be able to download the Flyme 3.0 ROM straight from Meizu, but right now we are getting a tease.
Meizu has released a video of Flyme 3.0 running on a Nexus 5. Google’s smartphone is an obvious first option, due to its openness and popularity.
Opinion: The UI is not too bad, but I have a hard time believing many users will opt for Flyme 3.0. Would you flash Meizu’s ROM?
We have heard much about the DOOGEE DG650S, but its specs have remained a mystery until today. DOOGEE has decided to make the device’s official page live, giving us all the details we need.
Specs include a whopping 6.5-inch 1080p display, a 1.7 GHz octa-core Mediatek processor, 1 GB of RAM, 16 GB of ROM, 16MP/8MP cameras and a 3500 mAh battery. This makes the device a pretty good large smartphone to buy, and probably for a pretty affordable price.
Opinion: DOOGEE is doing a great job for being such a young and unknown manufacturer. Not to mention, the devices do look great too.
