High-resolution camera’s are becoming standard on smartphones and one of the ways that we can take advantage of them is by using them to unlock our smartphones.
This technology has been a long time coming, we first saw it from Fujitsu back in 2006, this security system “reads” the hand vein schema like a fingerprint reader your finger tip. So it’s kind of like finger printing your veins.
It only takes a few minutes to set up, but to get into your phone it is a little longer than it would take you to drum in your typical four-digit PIN but its definitely secure. If you want to see it in action for your self, here is a video below.
