Today at CES 2014, NVIDIA presented the brand new Tegra K1 processor with 192 graphics cores for mobile devices. NVIDIA showed off the new processor’s amazing capabilities in a few demo videos.
NVIDIA’s new Tegra K1 processor with its ridiculous number of graphics cores promises to usher in a new era of gaming on mobile devices like smartphones and tablets. NVIDIA boasted that the Tegra K1 brings mobile gaming almost on par with that of gaming on a desktop or powerful laptop. The processor is so powerful that it can play Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 4 games at super fast speeds.
The Tegra K1 will come in two version: a quad-core based on the Cortex-A15, which runs at speeds up to 2.3 GHz and another with the NVIDIA ‘Denver’ dual-core CPU complete with 64-bit architecture, which runs at 2.5 GHz. We’ve included two demo videos for you to see.
