China is known for its smartphone clones, but some brands are especially famous for making better quality clones. There is an art to making popular smartphone look-alikes, and the point is to add your own touch to them.
NO.1 knows this very well. This is why while their phones look a lot like certain others, they are still NO.1 devices. They don’t want to hide their names, which is why they display their logo large and bright. It’s worth mentioning these affordable handsets tend to offer a pretty good experience for the price.
Today we are taking a look at a couple devices the Chinese manufacturer has unveiled. These are the NO.1 S6i and the NO.1 SUN. The good news here is that this announcement doesn’t only include handsets – the SUN is a smartwatch. And we can assume you know what the S6i ressembles.
Yes, the NO.1 S6i looks just like a Samsung Galaxy S6, yet these smartphones are quite difference. You can find variances in both internals, price and some slight aesthetic changes.
The S6i comes with Android 5.0, a 5-inch 720p display, a q.3 GHz quad-core processor, 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage, as well as a couple cameras checking in at 16 and 5 MP. Powering it is a 2800 mAh battery, which is definitely not a bad capacity for a phone like this one.
NO.1 does give us the product’s dimensions, which is probably the most surprising part. They managed to keep the size of the phone exactly the same, down right to the impressive thinness (143.4 x 70.5 x 6.8 mm).
So this one is pretty cool, as it’s not really a clone. Or at least I’ve never seen a product that looks like it. This circular smart watch is made of metal and looks just like a conventional watch. It’s probably named “SUN” due to its design, which mimics our star.
This wearable comes packed with a 240x240p screen and a 350 mAh battery. It won’t run Android Wear, or any popular software, but it’s capable of doing quite a bit. You can make calls, read text messages, check call logs, browse contacts, play music, track your heart rate and keep a log on your activity, among other things. IT even has a camera (130W pixels).
More details on these two gadgets are coming very soon. We have reached out to see if we can get some review units, so stay tuned if you want to learn more about them. Do I smell an S6i vs. Galaxy S6 comparison?
