Need to charge your device on-the-go? This Nifty belt may help you. In other news, Netflix is expanding and Tony Hawk steps into the net generation of skating.
This Nifty belt (no, really – that’s the name of the brand) is much more than just your average clothing accessory. In fact, it’s a wearable of sorts, and you all know how much we are about wearables around here!
The XOO Belt is actually an external charger. It holds 2,100 mAh of juice, which is enough to keep your devices going for a very good amount of time. Most early bird specials have already sold out on Indiegogo, but you can sign up to get 4 belts at a discounted price.
Opinion: This is actually a genius idea. My main issue with portable chargers is that they can be bulky and a pain to carry around. If your external battery takes the form of something you are always wearing, then the whole game changes.
Netflix is the king of video streaming subscription services, so it’s no wonder so many users find workarounds with VPNs and proxies. The dream is for the service to come to every corner of the world, and while that may be impossible, Netflix is definitely expanding as much as it can.
Today Netflix has announced that it will be making its services available to Australia and New Zealand this coming March, 2015. Said markets will have the ability to access Netflix services through all available devices, which include smartphones, tablets, computers, TVs, gaming consoles, smart TV boxes and more.
Opinion: Welcome to the party, Australia and new Zealand! You will love Netflix.
The idea of a hoverboard has haunted our dreams for generations. More so for Back to the Future fans, who thought the science fiction device wasn’t a possibility. We have recently found that a hoverboard is very possible. In fact, it exists and it’s called the Hendo Hoverboard.
The board floats at 3/4 of an inch and offers 0-resistance performance. It’s amazing, and it was only a matter of time before famous skater Tony Hawk gave it a try (and this time it’s not a hoax).
Opinion: I am seriously dying to give one of these a try. Maybe we can get some review time, Hendo?!
