New devices… new devices everywhere. This morning we have a flurry of news regarding upcoming phones. These stories are pretty juicy, so stick around!
We may be focusing mostly on the upcoming Nexus 6, but there’s another device we may be seeing announced right next to the upcoming Nexus smartphone. A Nexus 9 is also said to be in the works.
According to new details uncovered by the Bright Side of News, this Nexus tablet is to launch on October 15th, with availability starting on November 3rd. But before you get your credit cards ready, keep in mind price is rumored to sit at $399.
Opinion: This 9-inch Nexus tablet is not exactly cheap, but it will be quite an awesome device. It’s said to sport a Tegra K1 processor, 2 GB of RAM and an 8.9-inch 2560x1440p display. Not bad at all!
The Motorola Droid Turbo has been subject to leaks, benchmarks and rumors, but this is the best bit of news we have gotten on the device. @DroidLanding has shared an image on Twitter, displaying what is likely the rumored Droid Turbo.
No other details are given, but it seems this may have been a little slip. The image doesn’t show up on the main @DroidLanding page, for some odd reason. It may have just been pulled down.
Opinion: Who doesn’t like a deep red phone? I certainly do, and this one is looking sexy. Especially when I envision that 3900 mAh battery inside.
Xiaomi is known for having awesome, yet amazingly affordable smartphone. They may be affordable, but all of Xiaomi’s greatness comes with a price. There’s an insane demand for their products and this forces the company to launch devices in stages.
So far only the white and silver versions of the Xiaomi Mi4 have been available, and the first were only 3G devices. You may not like those colors, though, so you will be glad to learn Xiaomi is ready to bring the black Mi4, offering a much more classic and non-extravagant color.
The black Xiaomi Mi4 is said to launch on October 28th, but only for the Chinese market. And no, you can’t just import it. This version will have the TD-CDMA and TD-LTE radios, which are very rare.
Opinion: I am not a huge fan of the bright or light colored smartphones. I usually stick with black or blue, so I see how it can be frustrating to not have your favorite phone be available in your color of choice. You won’t have to wait long!
