Motorola is all over the news this morning! The company has shocked us all by releasing two great devices at amazing prices. Those of you looking for a high-end device will want to take a look at LG’s teaser, though.
Thought Motorola couldn’t make anything cheaper than the Moto G? I thought so too, but they have announced and released the Moto E. This device has less capable specs, but will only set you back $129 USD!
Moto E specs
- Android 4.4 KitKat
- 4.3-inch qHD display (540×960)
- 1.2 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200
- 1 GB of RAM
- 4 GB of internal storage
- 5 MP camera
- 1980 mAh battery
The Moto E is now available for pre-sale, which means it’s unsure when the device will ship. You can go ahead and put your name to one at Motorola’s website.
Opinion: The Moto G was able to turn things around with fair specs and a price that was unbeatable by any major manufacturer. I was definitely impressed by it and can’t wait to see what’s up with the Moto E. Can such low specs really translate to a good experience?
The basic Moto G and Moto E are awesome, but what if you want a dose of super fast data speeds? Motorola has also announced the Moto G with 4G LTE. This is exactly the same device as the original Moto G, except for the added 4G LTE antennas.
This means the affordable smartphone can now connect to the fastest networks in the world! You can have it for just $219, which is $40 more than the 3G version. Both iterations are available straight from Motorola’s website, so have at it.
Opinion: 3G speeds are good, but there is nothing like a stunning 4G LTE connection. The Moto G’s affordability doesn’t have to force you to sacrifice faster data speeds, and $219 is still an awesome price. The Moto G was already a great phone, now it’s even better!
The LG G3 has been the subject of many a leak, lately. Images and rumors are not in decline as we approach LG’s May 27th event. This one is a bit more special, though. The latest bit of LG G3 news comes from a video… an official one.
LG has released a teaser video for the G3 and boy is it looking good! You can see the new back buttons, the brushed metal-like back and other parts of the smartphone. Specs are still a bit of a mystery, but we do know this will be one of the first smartphones to feature a QHD screen (2560x1440p). Other rumored specs do include a Snapdragon 801 processor and 3 GB of RAM.
Opinion: LG has been doing an amazing job the past couple years, but they just can’t catch up with the big guys. This phone is looking mighty awesome (as did its past 2 predecessors) and we are wondering if the changed release date will help. LG G series smartphones used to be released later in the year, which means they didn’t directly compete with Samsung and HTC.
