The LG G3 leaks haven’t taken a break! Today we get to see a couple new angles. We also have news from Xiaomi and Meizu, who are not doing bad either.
We have seen a couple LG G3 leaked images lately, but so far they haven’t been very good ones. The photos tend to show only the back. And not in much detail, at that. Today’s leaks are not the best either, but we get to see more details and new angles.
One of the images displays the front of the device, which looks much like the LG G2’s. The device seems to be made of plastic, and that bezel looks amazingly minute. As for the back, it looks very standard compared to what we have already seen.
Opinion: LG’s flagship devices are usually well-built, even if made of plastic. There is not much to see here, though. What I am most excited about is the internals and features.
We gave the Xiaomi Redmi Note a a good try and came out impressed with what it can do. Sure, it’s not the best device out there, but we really can’t ask for more when the it costs only $129. For the price, it really does wonders.
Ultimately, in this business what really talks is numbers, and Xiaomi seems to have scored a 10/10 in that department. The manufacturer is stating that, so far, 15 million people have signed up to get more details on the device and pre-orders.
Opinion: Now, we know this doesn’t translate into sells every time. But really, at $129 I am sure many of these subscribers will buy the device. If even half of them purchase it, Xiaomi has a winning launch!
Meizu could be trying to expand into other markets. More specifically, the headphone market. The Chinese manufacturer is rumored to be working along with Final Audio to produce new high-end earphones.
These would have a steel frame and flat cable, designed to “optimize air flow and enhance bass.” These are said to be very powerful earphones, capable of 112db SNR.
They won’t come cheap at 1400 RMB (about $225 USD), but they should make your music that much better.
Opinion: It’s interesting to see Meizu stepping into the earphone market, and it looks like they are focusing on quality. We will have to test these and see if they are all they seem!
