Talk about starting the morning with the right foot. Today we have an amazing iPhone 6 leak, as well as new announcements from Sony and Xiaomi.
We have seen many leaks in this industry, but this one is a very rare one. The iPhone 6 front glass has been leaked, coming straight from Apple’s production lines. It has made it to MKBHD’s hands and looks like it will have a 4.7-inch screen. The popular YouTube personality has it in his hand and has given it the harshest of tests on video!
For starters, he touts the screen’s incredibly clear sapphire glass, which creates nearly no distortion to images. In addition, the glass is nearly indestructible! Marques Brownlee (MKBHD) tries to scratch it, stab it and crack it… all with no successful results.
Opinion: Having a larger iPhone will be a bit of an oddity. After all, iPhones have always touted their one-hand operation capabilities. We are glad they are not choosing weak materials, though.
Sony has announced the Xperia C3,a smartphone said to please the masses with the “best selfie camera” around. It sports a 5 MP front-facing camera, something we have seen in other devices, but the difference is in the details.
The Xperia C3’s wide angle lens is paired with a soft LED flash. In addition, users will enjoy “superior selfie apps” and great effects, as well as software optimizations. The device’s other specs are also not bad, but this clearly isn’t a high-end smartphone either.
The Xperia C3 sports a 5.5-inch 720p display, a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of internal storage and Dual-SIM capabilities. The device will be available in black, white and mint. If you are interested, it is launching on August 2014 with China being the first market to get it.
Opinion: Sony’s smartphones are amazing, but for some reason they are not selling as well as we would expect. It’s the Apple/Samsung effect, we assume. Regardless, this would be a great option for selfie enthusiasts. I would consider getting it if I was in the market for a mid-end smartphone.
India has been waiting patiently for Xiaomi, and today the manufacturer finally announces the Mi 3 will be released in said country soon. To be more exact, Indians will be able to purchase the Mi 3 for 14,999 Rupees, which equals to about $251 USD.
Pre-registration starts on July 15th, so get ready because we expect a very high demand for this phone. After all, the Mi 3 is a powerhouse with a Snapdragon 800 processor, 2 GB of RAM, a 5-inch 1080p display and everything you can expect from a high-end smartphone.
Opinion: Xiaomi sells out its devices in record times, wherever it goes. We are sure India will not be the exception, so get your cards ready for those purchases, guys!
