Samsung is taking over all the headlines this morning, giving us a good selection of videos and announcements. Let’s check them all out!
Samsung’s latest announcement involves the Galaxy Alpha, an average-sized, yet powerful smartphone. The modest device is set for release on September 10th in the UK. Customers can start pre-ordering as soon as August 28th, though.
For those who missed the announcement, this device comes with a 4.7-inch Super AMOLED display, an octa-core Exynos processor, 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal storage, a 12 MP rear camera, and more.
Opinion: The Galaxy Alpha is not your average smartphone. It is among the first Samsung devices to incorporate a metal housing.
We know September 3rd will signal the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, but the Korean manufacturer is teasing us a bit more with the latest commercial. The focus of the video revolves around the stylus (S Pen), a tool the Note series is well known for.
Opinion: Writing is a huge part of our society. Even though we are moving into a digital world of keyboards, we innately relate writing to a pen or pencil.
Samsung has managed to turn the Ice Bucket Challenge movement into an advertising for the Galaxy S5. The latest video from the Korean manufacturer stars the Galaxy S5 getting soaked by iced water.
This is a way to tell the audience about Samsung’s rugged features, which do include water resistance. And of course, they throw in a punch to the HTC One M8, iPhone 5s and Nokia Lumia 930 by nominating them.
Opinion: While this seems like a cheap move for attention, Samsung did make a “generous donation” to the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
