The Apple smartwatch rumors may be ending very soon, Microsoft promises to fix the Surface Pro 3 and T-Mobile is treating us to more goodies.
Rumors of the iWatch have been plentiful, with all kinds of rumors sprouting regularly for months. Could we finally see the purported iWatch in September?
The latest rumors come from re/code’s John Paczkowski, who promises the device will be announced on September 9th, right next to the new iPhones.
Opinion: It seems a bit too early for such a device to be announced. While rumors are abundant, solid proof has been missing. Apple is no longer king at hiding products well, so we would assume we would have seen an image or two by now.
A small number of Surface Pro 3 users have been getting a heating issue that forces their computers to restart. Microsoft promises this is an error and help is on its way, in the form of an upcoming update.
The issue lies on the more powerful i7 processor, which some versions have. This processor is expected to run warner and use more fan energy, something the software doesn’t seem to recognize.
Opinion: Overheating will only become a bigger proglem as processors become stronger and devices smaller.
T-mobile’s Music freedom introduced free, unlimited music streaming data to the masses. The program was limited to a handful of apps and services, though. Today they are giving free streamign capabilities to a few other services.
Users can now listen to Songza, Rdio, Grooveshark, AccuRadio, Black Planet and Radio Paradise without spending any of their plan’s megabytes.
Opinion: As an avid Google user, it’s sad to see that Google Play Music is still not included in the list. They do mention Google Play Music will be added later this year, though.
