The Nexus rumors continue as Motorola joins the party. LG has a unique device for you. All while Microsoft is busy making fun of Siri.
This rumor is sill pretty fresh and we don’t have much to go on, but Android Police’s sources swear Motorola is working with Google to make a new Nexus device. The device is said to be code-named “Shamu” and should be coming to all major carriers in the US, and unspecified carriers across the world.
Sadly, other details and specs are scarce. It is stated that the device will have a massive 5.9-inch display with an unknown resolution, but that is about all we know right now. It’s expected to launch this November.
Opinion: This rumor comes after a rocky road of assumptions. At one point it was believed that the Nexus program would die and be replaced by Android Silver! We are unsure of the future, but a Motorola Nexus smartphone does sound exciting.
LG is no stranger to unique form factors and this time they have quite a unique device for us. The LG Tab Book is an Android tablet that doubles as a laptop of sorts. It has a slide-up system that uncovers a physical keyboard.
The 11.6-inch device has a generous 1080p resolution and an Intel Core i5 processor. That is enough to make an Android tablet powerful, but LG has also added 4 GB of RAM and a 128 GB SSD. These specs are unheard of in Android tablets, so don’t expect it to come cheap.
Opinion: This is truly a one-of-a-kind. I have never seen an Android device with such specs, which makes me wonder if it would be easy to install Windows on it.
Siri is known as one of the most intuitive and conversational digital assistants around, but Cortana has some neat tricks up its sleeve. Of course, Microsoft won’t ignore this opportunity and they have released a fun ad. In this video we see Siri being beat by Siri.
Opinion: It may be a bit exaggerated, but it’s all about fun and games. Check it out and let us know what you think.
