Thinking about getting a Moto 360? Motorola’s Android Wear device is among the hottest of its kind, so we thought we would go out and get ourselves a unit to show you all about it. Sometimes a quick hands-on is simply not enough, so we are now giving you an unboxing and our very first impressions on the Moto 360.
The device comes in a circular box that goes along with the circular form factor many of you have fallen in love with. Inside you can find your wireless charger, the microUSB cable, literature and, of course, the Moto 360.
Moto 360 specs
- 1.56-inch 320x290p IPS LCD display
- Texas Instruments OMAP 3 processor
- 512 MB of RAM
- 4 GB of internal storage
- Bluetooth 4.0 LE
- 320 mAh battery
- Heart rate sensor
The design sure looks unique compared to the square smart watches. Of course, whether you like it or not will be a matter of preference. Our very own Roland happens to find the design very nice and the size is good for his wrist.
Do realize the device is a little bigger than it may seem, though. People with smaller wrists will likely have a harder time wearing this in a comfortable fashion. Aside from design, the build quality is great and the device does feel premium. We also love that it sports a hardware button, which not all Android Wear devices do.
After turning it on you will find the device works just as you can expect any Android Wear product to work. You get Google Now and other notifications, as well as the heart rate function and all other features.
Ultimately, the Moto 360 is a great smart watch, even if not for everyone. As expected, we will have more content coming so stay tuned to Mobile Geeks to see more. We just wanted to give you a quick look with all the details first. Enjoy!
