The Microsoft Lumia 640 is one hell of a smartphone, but maybe you need that extra kick to get what you need from your device. We are at Mobile World Congress and there is plenty of options, but first let’s stick around the Microsoft booth for a bit to show you the Nokia Lumia 640 XL.
Microsoft Lumia 640 XL

- 5.7-inch 720p display
- 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400

- 8 GB of RAM
- 13 MP rear-facing camera
- 5 MP front-facing camera
- 157.9 x 81.5 x 9.0 mm
- 171 grams
- 3000 mAh battery
The Lumia 640 XL looks and feels just like its smaller brother, the Lumia 640. They do share more than just a name, as they offer the same plastic-based construction that offers a relatively well built body. And if you are feeling playful, the device does come available in 4 colors – cyan, orange, black and white.
The first thin you will notice is the size, of course. This device offers a massive 5.7-inch display with a 720p resolution. As you can assume, you can definitely see some pixels in there, but it’s something to expect out of such an affordable smartphone.
The other big improvement is the battery’s capacity, which sports 300 mAh of pure power. It’s also a removable battery, which sweetens the deal for those who like carrying around spare batteries.
Because the phone uses Windows Phone 8.1, it does very well with the mid-tier specifications. The phone is snappy and smooth, which says a lot about any affordable handset. By the way, this phablet is cheap!
You will be able to purchase the Microsoft Lumia 640 XL for only 219 Euros for the LTE version. The 3G-only variant will be cheaper at 189 Euros. Not a bad deal, right?
