Wearables work seamlessly with your mobile devices, but what if they could also interact with everything else around you? That is the idea the Logbar Ring brought to the CES 2015 show floor.
The Logbar Ring is very unique. It has no screens and only needs one button to operate. What makes it special is that it works via gestures, which you can set to perform certain actions upon command.
You can do things like control your lights, TV, interact withy our phone and wearables, share contact information and even share content via social networks. This is all done via gestures. Simply press the button in it and start gesturing away.
We found that the ring doesn’t look as sleek and nice as the video and images portray, but it is a clean, silver design. If the dimensions are done right, it will look great, but sadly they are not. Or at least not right now.
Of course, there are smaller sizes, but the unit is still pretty bulky. It’s simply not something we see ourselves wearing every day, all day. Instead, it may be a great tool to pick up only when in use.
It is actually pretty fun to use, to be honest. I just would like to see a thinner form factor, even if battery life is taken to a day. The device does last up to 3 days, and supports both Android and iOS. This means most of you have a compatible device.
