LG is going all out announcing and making new devices available. We also have some benchmarks of the Xiaomi Mi 4, which is proving to be one powerful device.
Announced for the Korean market, the LG G3 Cat 6 is no small contender. The device is pretty much an improved LG G3! Specs include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, a 5.5-inch QHD display, 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal storage, 13MP/2MP cameras and a stunning 3,000 mAh battery.
What makes it unique? Well, this phone is all about Category 6 LTE, which is capable of 225 Mbps data speeds. With the right network, this phone could beat the competition without much effort.
Opinion: It’s also a bit upsetting to see they get the Snapdragon 805 processor over our Snapdragon 801. Both phones should be super fast, though.
Trying to get yourself a brand new tablet? LG has released the G Pad 10.1, a mid-end tablet with a nice price and attractive build. The device is now available from Best Buy, which we know is a big deal for those who like testing a product before taking that credit card out.
As previously seen, specs include a 10.1-inch 1280×800 display, a Snapdragon 400 processor, 1 GB of RAM and Android 4.4.2. The device will cost $250, so head to your nearest Best Buy if you are interested!
Opinion: I love what LG has been doing these past few years, and even these affordable tablets seem very cool. Will we put our money where our mouth is, though?
The Xiaomi Mi 4 was announced this morning, along with all its details and specs. It’s not your Snapdragon 805, QHD display-bearing monster, but it has powerful specs that should keep it competitive.
We know benchmarks are not always synonymous with performance, but they give us an idea of what a device can handle, and it seems Xiaomi is letting us down a bit. While the best phones are scoring over 40,000 in AnTuTu, this phone struggles to pass the 37,000 mark.
Opinion: Don’t fret, as this should still be a great phone to own. After all, it’s only worth RMB 1,999 (about $322 USD).
