LG is confirming next week’s G Watch R release. All while HTC and ZTE are ready to bring new smartphones to the USA market.
Didn’t trust yesterday’s Korean sources? Today you get the news straight from LG. The Korean manufacturer is confirming that the LG G Watch R will be launching next week, in October 14.
There’s still no details on an American or European launch, but we can expect the second circular Android Wear device to come relatively soon. The price is not mentioned either, but yesterday’s information stated it would be similarly priced to the Moto 360.
Opinion: I can’t wait to get my hands on one of these. It looks much more fit for those who used to prefer the digital sports watches. I still have to see how large it is, though. We haven’t gotten a chance to check it out live.
A new affordable smartphone will be blessing the Verizon network come October 9th. The new device is the HTC Desire 612, which seems to be based off the global Desire 610.
Specs-wise, it carries a 4.7-inch HD display, a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, 8 GB of internal storage and a 2040 mAh battery. Other specs are still unknown, but we do know this device has BoomSound speakers, an addition that is always welcomed.
Big Red is also staying pretty quiet about pricing, but they do tell us it will be free on a 2-year contract. You can also get it through Verizon Edge, but mnthly payments are also a secret for now.
Opinion: Give me any device with BoomSound and I will fall in love with it. This one may not have the best specs, but it will be a great little phone for casual users.
Not into last months’ ZTE ZMAX? Maybe you will be more interested in the ZTE Grand XMAX, a device that is coming to Cricket starting October 10th for the low price of $199.
The device carries a massive 6-inch HD display, a Snapdragon 200 processor, 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of internal storage, 8MP/1MP cameras and a 3200 mAh battery. Not bad, right?
Opinion: This is a bit of an odd device. It is very large, but its specs are rather modest. Maybe it’s simply meant for large display lovers.
