The LG G Watch’s launch is taking some time, but you can get your fix with today’s video. HTC is also bringing new devices to the table. All while LG continues to improve upon its displays.
So far we have only seen screenshots, GIF images and other obscure demos of the LG G Watch. We haven’t gotten the chance to really see an Android Wear device in action, which is why today’s new video is such a huge deal. We finally have a hands-on video of the device!
Granted, the device does come with pre-release software, but it performs surprisingly well, considering the facts. The video is all in German, but we can at least get the gist of things.
Opinion: I am really liking the simple interface and aesthetics. Now the question is: which will you buy, the LG G Watch or the Moto 360?
The rumored HTC One M8 alternative devices continue to make headlines. Today we are getting details about two possible devices. These details come from 9to5Google’s anonymous sources, who claim to be familiar with the matter.
The first of the two would be a said HTC One M8 Plus. This device is said to be a superior version of the HTC One M8, with the same metal construction and gorgeous design. The M8 Plus would be improved in that it will be water resistant. Also, this smartphone is said to give the LG G3 a run for its money with a “2K display with highest pixel count to date”, a Snapdragon 805 processor and 3 GB of RAM.
As for the HTC One M8 Advance, it should be a smartphone with the same awesome specs as the M8 Plus, except with a plastic construction, which should make it more affordable.
Opinion: I am glad HTC is staying on its game to stay relevant. It was nice to have one flagship device last year, but this year we are stepping into 2K displays and new processors. It only makes sense that there is a device in between.
Is the mighty LG G3 and its stunning 5.5-inch QHD (2560x1440p) display not enough? The Korean manufacturer is planning to further improve its displays. It’s said LG plans to showcase a larger, 6-inch QHD screen next week, at the Society for Information Display in San Francisco.
This is not very impressive, as it would just be a slightly bigger version of the LG G3’s screen. Same resolution and all. What is more impressive is that LG is promising newer displays to come, with 600 to 700 PPI pixel density. In comparison, the LG G3 has 538 PPI density.
Opinion: Are we taking screens too far? I believe so, but these will probably look gorgeous.
