Lenovo’s YOGA series is now recognized for its flexible and versatile form factors. These devices work great as convertible laptops and tablets. They can take on multiple form factors and today the company has announced a whole new line-up of YOGA devices.
These new offerings come in multiple shapes, featuring different operating systems and experiences. One of them even has a projector! There seems to be a device for everyone here, so let’s take a look at them and find out which one is best for you.
Lenovo YOGA 3 Pro
The Lenovo YOGA 3 Pro takes on the now classic YOGA form-factor. It’s a laptop that will literally bend over backwards for you. It features, laptop, stand, tent and tablet modes. We all know and love that functionality, but how great is the YOGA 3 Tablet as a computer?
Specs include a 13.3-inch QHD+ (3200x1800p) touchscreen, an Intel Core M-70 processor, up to 8 GB of RAM, up to 512 GB of internal storage, a 720p webcam and up to 9 hours of battery life. It’s also powered by Windows 8.1, making it a full-on computer.
The device is 17% thinner than its predecessor and weighs less than a bottle of water. There is nothing to dislike here, and that screens makes it another great alternative for the popular Macbook Pro with Retina Display. Those interested will find that it is no cheap device, though.
Prices start at €1,599. This translates to over $2000 USD, but prices are usually lower in the USA. We can assume it will cost around $1600 when it gets to the USA (which is still a bit pricey). It will be available starting October. This is very soon, so get your wallets ready.
Lenovo YOGA Tablet 2 Pro
If what you need is a tablet and Android is your OS of choice, you will definitely need to take a look at the Lenovo YOGA Tablet 2 Pro. This is not your usual tablet, though. It has an over-sized 13.3 QHD (2560x1440p) display and a projector that can simulate a 50-inch screen.
Other specs include an Intel Atom processor, 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal storage, 8MP/1.6MP cameras and up to 15 hours of battery life. All powered by Android 4.4 KitKat. I must say that is one stunning Android tablet, but it won’t be exactly cheap (it’s also not as expensive as I thought it would be.
The Lenovo YOGA Tablet 2 Pro launches at the end of October for €499. As it goes with prices, we can expect this tablet to go for about $500 USD. And it would also make for a great TV replacement for those who watch most of their content online.
Lenovo YOGA Tablet 2
The more options, the better, and the Lenovo YOGA Tablet 2 definitely has a good list of them. Not only is this tablet available in both Windows 8.1 and Android 4.4 flavors, but it also comes in 8-inch and 10-inch sizes.
Both come with an Intel Atom processor, 1920x1200p displays, 2 GB of RAM, 8MP/1.6MP cameras and up to 18 hours of battery life. The only other main difference is storage space. The Android version comes with 16 GB of ROM, while the Windows tablet comes with 32 GB.
Want to sign up for one of these 4 versions of the Lenovo YOGA Tablet 2? Both Android versions become available beginning October 9th for €229 and €299 accordingly. The 10-inch Windows version will be launched in late October for €399 and the 8-inch one will come this November for €249.
