Lenovo announced a great trio of Yoga devices yesterday, but the most impressive device was the Lenovo YOGA 3 Pro… by far. This powerful laptop comes with an amazing design, great build quality and specs that will make most competitors weep.
We got a chance to take one home after the announcement and have an unboxing and hands-on video to share with you. If you thought the laptop looked and sounded good on paper, you will be blown away when you hold it.
The device has a great metal and plastic construction, featuring a new hinge that is made of metal bars and a metal mesh. It’s very unique, and Lenovo says it allows them to make the device thinner. The device only measures 12.8 mm in thickness. It’s really unlike any other YOGA hinge we have seen before.
Lenovo YOGA 3 Pro specs
- 13.3-inch QHD+ (3200x1800p) display
- Intel Core M-70 processor
- Up to 8 GB of RAM
- Up to 512 GB of internal storage
- 9 hours of battery life
The display seems to be the same one we saw in the Lenovo YOGA 2 Pro. While this is not something negative, some of you may dislike the yellowish hue the panel emits. This can be fixed with different color profiles, but it can be a bit annoying. Regardless, it’s about the only complaint we have.
This is one hell of a machine, and it happens to be a great alternative for those who want a Retina Display quality screen without getting a Macbook. We are honestly in love with it, and believe it is totally worth its $1299 starting price.
It will be a great device for anyone looking to get a powerful and efficient laptop. Who is signing up for one? It will become available this month, so get your wallets ready, guys.
