Lenovo is one of China’s top Smartphone brands, yet in the West we’re just beginning to see them as a Smartphone Maker. At CES 2015 we got to go hands on with the Lenovo VIBE X2 Pro, a 5.3″ FHD Smartphone with a unique layered design.
The Lenovo VIBE X2 Pro has a 5.3-inch display, sporting a resolution of 1920×1080 and running IPS technology. Under the hood we’ve got the 64 bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor clocked at 1.5 GHz and 2GB of RAM. Lenovo has been trying to bring it with cameras sporting decent megapixels, although they could use a bit of help on the software side, as the photos can look at bit over-processed sometimes. The Camera also comes with an LED flash, gesture controls and beautification features to capture selfies.
Design-wise, Lenovo is really working to set themselves apart. They had the polycorbonate layered look last year – this year they are stepping up the difficulty in production by doing an all-metal layered design.
Storage-wise, we’re looking at 32 GB of internal storage, with the ability to use a MicroSD card up to 32GB. Connectivity-wise, we’ve got dual nano SIM cards. In the connectivity department we’re looking at LTE (4G) speeds and Bluetooth 4.0. Other specs include a 2410 mAh Li-Po battery, which tips the scales of the VIBE X2 Pro at 140 grams with a thickness of 6.95mm.
