While looking at the iPhone 5 case in the iCandy booth at IFA, we also got a sneak peak at the iPad Mini case.
iCandy received the specifications and dimensions from the same source that provided the iPhone 5 information. Their manufacturer source was correct about the specifications of the iPad 2 before its launch and iCandy believes that the iPad Mini specs will also hold true to form.
The iPad Mini case supports many of the rumors we’ve heard about the iPad’s little brother. The case measures in the ballpark of the 7 inch estimate most people expect to see for the iPad mini. The case is also very thin and would suggest that Apple is planning a very sleek and slender iPad Mini. Chances are with dimensions like these, it won’t weigh much, making it the ideal tablet for Apple fans who like to carry smaller 7 inch tablets.
The case also has a clear space at the back for a rear facing camera as well as a tiny slot for something– we weren’t sure what — to come out of the back. We compared the case to the New iPad case and admired how thin the iPad Mini case was in comparison. Obviously, the 7 inch case looks very nice and petite beside the larger iPad case.
The case gave us no more hidden clues in regards to the connector for the iPad Mini. iCandy’s iPad Mini case also doubles as a stand for the 7 inch device and gives what they hope is an accurate representation of the iPad Mini in action.
